With Covid-19 lockdown restrictions easing, we’re now able to go dinghy sailing at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre. We have introduced a booking system to ensure we’re not over-subscribed and we can manage the flow of people using the boats. Initially it’s members only for now & ones who have some sailing experience. We will have a number of shore based places available for newbies but these are limited, please express interest and we’ll try to accommodate all over time.
The booking system can be accessed here. Once there choose the Category of dinghy, either Topper, Enterprise or Bahia, then choose a Service.
Once you have chosen your service, click on the date and time you would like to attend, at the moment we’re doing 2 hour slots from 12.00 until 16.00, therefore please either choose a start time of 12.00 or 14.00 and click on Submit
You’ll then be asked for your contact details, this will be used to create a register for Track and Trace, if we need it in the future.
Don’t worry about the ‘Pay Locally’ item on the page, please ignore it 🙂
This will generate an appointment request which will be reviewed and once approved you will receive a confirmation email.
Once your place is confirmed you’ll receive a time slot, a risk assessment & Covid regulations / risk assessment, RYA information & guidance and a disclaimer. You must read all and sign off the disclaimer before you’ll be allowed into Crosby.
Please bring your own:
- Face masks
- Sanitisers
- Water
- Snacks
- Life preserver / buoyancy aid
- Old trainers, dinghy sailing boots
- Dry suit / wet suit
- Change of clothes.
It makes the care free days of old seem halcyon but it’s best to be aware & safe and I’m sure we’ll get back to normal soon. Arrive early and wait in the car park until your designated slot. Sanitise you’re hands before entering Crosby Lakeside. Social distancing at all times please. Please keep all valuables etc safe, either at home or away from the water.
