Weekly Social Evenings
Our members meet every Wednesday night in The Yacht Club bar and restaurant at Liverpool Marina. We meet from 7.30pm onwards although on weeks where a committee meeting is held on the same night, there’s more people around from about 9pm onwards.
Everyone is welcome to come along to our social evenings. Partners and friends are more than welcome to come along too. Whether you’re an existing member or are interested in finding out more about keel boat racing, cruising or dinghies, we’d love to meet you all!
Monthly Quiz Night
The first Wednesday of each month is our quiz night. Held after the sailing committee meeting, the quiz usually starts at around 9pm. Teams of up to four people, entry is £2 per person and there are cash prizes to win!
Talks & More
Our members are invited to attend a series or talks, workshops and presentations; typically held on the second Wednesday over the Autumn and Winter months. Topics covered can be anything from personal experiences to technical skills.
Examples of previous talks:
- Adventure Racing – presented by Cris Miles of BOOM power and race sailing
- Fastnet race – presented by Mike Croxall of Grand Slam
- The Delivery from Hell- presented by David Lomax
Annual Awards Dinner
One of our main events each year is our annual black-tie dinner dance and prize-giving. A great opportunity to dress to impress and celebrate another great year sailing.
This year’s Annual Awards Dinner will be Saturday 16th March 2024.

Commodores Christmas Celebration
Each year our Commodore hosts our final social evening of the year featuring much festive frivolity and typically involving fancy dress and lots of alcohol!
Race/Cruise Socials
Throughout the year we hold several other social events. Sometimes these are connected to racing and cruising activities however you don’t need to sail to come along and join us.
