If you would like a first sailing experience, or enjoy small craft sailing, Liverpool Yacht Club have a dinghy section based at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre which operates between April and October each year.
Our craft include a Laser Bahia, which can sail comfortably with three adults. We also have three GP14s, which can sail with two adults. We have a fleet of Toppers (single handed) which are perfect for children and adults too.
So if you are new to sailing, or experienced, come on down and enjoy our friendly, informal, fun group of sailors.
For those who would like a “Taster Sail” we can provide temporary club membership on the day. Whatever your intentions on your sailing journey, we are a great route into the Merseyside Sailing Community.

Winter Dinghy Sessions 2025
Due to the closure of Brunswick Lock affecting Yacht Racing between January and March, we will be hosting winter Dinghy Sessions and Saturdays and Sundays starting 1st February.
You must have a thick wetsuit or dry suit to attend these sessions.
