A notice to all skippers and boat owners – The RYA will no longer recognise the NHC Handicap system and will instead be using “YTC” – click here for more details.
All the information and how to apply for a certificate is in the attached link and there is no cost involved.
Any yachts holding current IRC certificates can apply for a YTC number with no additional information required, as RORC have the required measurements.
Venture Yachts will have to supply simple measurements, most of which should be listed by the yacht manufacturer.
Although LYC would encourage all club yachts to get a YTC number, please note there is no current plans to stop using NHC for venture fleet races.
