Hello all,
I am hoping we can get together again at the Marina soon. In the meanwhile, Andi (Rear Commodore) has arranged for us to get together next Wednesday for a meal at the Chung Ku. I’ve attached her email so you can use the link to book on. Just read further down.
I do hope some of you can make it. There will be £10 off your meal for all members. Of course, we need numbers so please, if you can come, book in by Sunday.
I’m also looking at booking Bacaro on Castle Street for the 25th May. Let me know if you’re interested.
Andi also mentions the amount raised for the two Commodore’s charities. Thank you all so much. I did run the London Landmarks Half Marathon and this Sunday I will be taking part in the Virtual London Marathon. I’ll be walking 26.2 miles from Liverpool to Southport. Collecting donations for Prostate Cancer along the way. My total with the raffle donations is now over £1000. Which is amazing.
There are plenty of sailing events coming up. Along side our Spring Series this Saturday is the 1st Novice Race. Great for all members new and old to take in a different role.
The 4th May is our first offshore race to Llandudno.
The 19th May seeing a full day of racing in the Low Water Series.
Ladies Race is on the 25th May. Looks like I’ll be missing out on that one.
Dinghies are now up and running on Saturday’s. Book your slot in the usual way on our website.
We also have a special event with the WAYS at Dinghy’s on the 18th May. I’m sure Sailing Committee will update you shortly.
Then the 1st June is our Discover Sailing Day and Topper Challenge at the Albert Dock.
I’ll leave it there for now. Which just leaves me to welcome our new members. Looking forward to seeing you all very soon.
Fair winds,
Susie
