Crosby Sailing Club

Crosby Sailing Club sail at Crosby lake which is on the banks of the River Mersey, at the northern end of the docks of Liverpool. They race dinghies on Sundays starting about mid day, and Wednesday evenings in the summer. There is handicap fleet racing with a large number of Laser dinghies both standard and radial rigs, and solos. They have several club dinghies, a GP14 and RS Feva alongside their fleet of Toppers. They are a very friendly small club, with loads of time for newcomers. They sail all year round as Crosby Lake is a salt water lake, which means that is rarely freezes. Friday nights are for teaching newcomers, who are taught by the selection of Dinghy Instructors within their ranks. Their race coaches also assist to show the racing ropes, so that once confident the newcomers are encouraged to join in with club events.
