2019 Race Summary

2019 Novice Race

Details of this years novice race can be found in the attached PDF file.

This race is intended to encourage the development of crew skills in racing. Ideally all crew shoudld be encouraged to do a different role on the boat from their normal position. At the very least it is expected that the helm and main trimmer shall be changed.

Owners of recently accquired boats are permitted to helm their own boat. Ultimatley the decision is the boat owners. In our Corinthisan sport the club expects you to abide by the spirit of the Novice race.... that it is to encourage skills development of the crew.|

Skippers shall act as pilot, be ready to advise if required. If int he opinion of the skipper there is a dangeorus situation developing then the skipper should intervene, and if happy to continue racing return control of the boat to the dsesignated helm as soon as practical
