New to Sailing?
If totally new to sailing, the best way to start learning is to come down and do some sailing with our dinghy section or participate in our Keelboat Awareness Course. This is run twice a year and if you have never sailed on yachts before it is a great introduction and the best way of getting your “sea legs”.
If you have some sailing experience, see our Sailing Opportunities page. There are various ways to start sailing with us. You can turn up on a Saturday to join a boat for racing in our “Venture Class“, or on a Sunday for the IRC racing. You could also start sailing with our dinghy section, or enquire as to who is going our cruising and needs crew. To start with you could go out on Gullmaren and watch the action. Please contact our previous commodore, email hidden; JavaScript is required to arrange this.

Gullmaren
Gullmaren is our club flagship, which is used as mobile clubhouse, escort vessel and as race control centre when races are run from the water. The boat belongs to all members of the clubs and therefore, as a member you are always welcome aboard. In order to keep her afloat we often need club members to help with her annual refit, repairs and also to crew her. For members with relevant skills there are also opportunities to train to become a club skipper of Gullmaren.
